Granny's Weekend visit

Mom came to town this weekend and we had a blast. She came to town for the Mother/Daughter Tea. Mom and Alyssa were so excited about this event. They would call each other about three times a week talking about their outfits. They are such girlie girls. I actually had a good time. It was like playing dress up with my mom and daughter. There is nothing like hanging with 2 of my favorite people.

Thanks again to Ms Rosalind for inviting us. We really enjoyed hanging out with you and the other ladies from the church on yesterday. Mom is already talking about making this an annual event for us to attend.

Third Day!!!!!!

I went to see Third Day last night with my friend Shannon. It was such an awesome concert. We had a really good time. I did not get home until 1:30 in the morning because after the concert the guys came out to the lobby with their instruments and sang more songs. WHO DOES THAT?????? Third Day does. The highlight of the evening was the impromptu show in the lobby. Thanks for the Third Day tickets Shannon. I am really happy that your daughter had plans and your bff had to work. Thanks to Shelby and Linda's hectic schedule I was able to see Third Day.

Congrats Montrell!!!!!

Those of you who know me know that I absolutely LOVE my baby brother Montrell. He is such a good guy. Well, he graduated from Southern University in Baton Rouge this past December in Electrical Engineering, and he recently found a job in his major in another city, not Dallas :-(. I had been praying for him to find a job here, but I guess God is telling me that I need to cut the cord. On this past Sunday we said goodbye to Montrell. The kids and I have absolutely enjoyed having him here and we will definitely miss him.

St. Patrick's Day 2011- Rainbow Cake

We had so much fun today. We had a St. Patrick's Day dinner party. When Elijah came home we had pizza and lime kool-aid. We made a rainbow cake for dessert. The cake was very tasty, and the kids absolutely enjoyed making it. Thanks Katie for sharing the recipe. The next time I make this cake I will work on my presentation. lol
