HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Wow, I can't believe that it is Thanksgiving already.
Where has the time gone? We woke up this morning and watched the Macy's parade, ate lunch, played board games, jammed to Justin Beiber's Christmas cd and went to visit family and friends. I must say that we had a pretty good day. I am so thankful for God's grace,
my amazing husband, beautiful kids and awesome friends and family members. Alyssa is thankful for her Granny Maxine's food ( I guess she doesn't like my food- lol); Daniel is thankful for Mom, Dad, his birthday in 2 weeks and Christmas (lol); and Elijah is thankful for me **blushing**, Alyssa and Daniel, our jobs, our parents and God's blessings.

Breaking news: The Little Kickers Won a Game

Wow, I can't believe it. They actually won a game on Saturday. Daniel was the game MVP and so he gets to keep the team trophy for the week. He scored three goals for his team (not the other team, but his team). We are so proud of him. I guess I may attend the last game on Saturday. Way to go Daniel and the Little Kickers. :-))

Fun Filled October

Wow, I can't believe October is over. We had so much going on that Elijah and I didn't know if we were coming or going. Well, since my last post Alyssa received a Shooting Star award at school for knowledge. She was very happy because her Dad was able to see her get her award and she was able to eat lunch on stage with all the other shooting stars.

Alyssa had her career day at school and wanted to follow in my footsteps and be a nurse. I was sooo happy about this because I had all of the nursing props at home and we didn't have to make anything. Let's be real, the only thing Alyssa really cared about was showing off her stethoscope at school.

We also made a quick trip home for Al's (my brother) 40th surprise birthday party. Elijah and I had a blast because we went out and didn't have to worry about childcare. We were also able to visit a couple of our relatives while home.

Well, Daniel is still being Daniel. He is still playing soccer and their team has not won a game all season. Daniel has actually scored two goals for the opposing team. I am pretty sure this pissed off this crazy soccer mom. She is really taking this 4 year old soccer thing too seriously. Thank goodness there are only 2 games left in the season.

Well the kids are still in Awana . Alyssa recited John 3:16 and told her teacher what it meant by mid October. This means she finally received her Sparks vest, bag and book. This was a major "blog worthy" accomplishment for her . Daniel on the other hand is doing great. He actually started helping me teach Alyssa her verse. She did not like that at all. lol

Well the rest of the month was all about Halloween. We took the kids to pick out pumpkins for carving one Saturday , and the next day we had a pumpkin carving and cupcake decorating gathering with the Wright and Jones families. It was soo much fun. The kids had such a good time. It is always nice to fellowship with hometown friends and their families.

Alyssa and Daniel absolutely love Halloween. Daniel was Woody and he wore his costume to the school's carnival and on Halloween night. Alyssa was a princess for the school carnival, a pirate for dance class and Halloween night and Pinkalicious for school.

Well as you can see we had a very fun filled month. Our focus for this November is being Thankful for our many blessings. As always, thanks for reading our family blog.
