April Showers

I just want to say thanks to my bible study group, coworkers, friends and family members for the text, emails, cards, flowers, phone calls and words of comfort I received during  the illness and death of my grandmother.  I feel truly blessed to have people like you in my life.  Although I haven't responded to all of your correspondences, I have read them all and I am grateful for you during this very difficult time.  I still can't believe she is no longer with us.  I am so going to miss her sense of humor and her "tell it like it is" attitude.  I am very thankful for the time that God allowed me and my kids to spend with her.  She was such an amazing woman and I will miss her dearly.

I love springtime in Texas!!!! It's all about the Texas Blue Bonnets.  Really it is all about me dragging my husband and kids out into a field of wild flowers for pictures.  I am a happy Momma because I got my blue bonnet pictures this year.  All smiles over here :-)

The kids and Elijah had a great Easter morning.  The kids woke up, attacked their Easter baskets, went to the donut shop and then to church.

I actually only worked half a day on Easter.  Major shout out to Kim M for coming in and covering the second half of my shift.  Also, shout out to Elijah for combing Alyssa's hair.  I think he did a pretty good job.

Elijah and I met 10 years ago on Good Friday.  Wow, how time flies.  He is an awesome guy and I am blessed to have him.  I must confess that the first 5 years were GREAT!!!!!  It was the honeymoon phase of the marriage.  The last 5 years required some work (2 kids in 15 months almost pushed me overboard- lol), despite it all I am thankful for the good, the bad and the ugly.  I can't wait to see what God has in store for us over the next 10 years. God is Love and Love has prevailed in the Williams household.

March Madness

March was another busy month for us. We experienced our first elementary open house.  Alyssa was so excited to show off all her work and introduce us to her friends and teachers.  Elijah and I were very impressed with all of her work.  My favorite was her  construction paper self portrait  displayed in the hall.

Since I work Easter weekend I decided to take the kids to an Easter egg hunt last weekend.  They really enjoyed themselves.  Check out the cute buckets that I decorated.

A couple of weeks ago Daniel found a gift and a hand written note that was given to him when he was born.  It was a black leather Bible with his name on it.  It was given to him by one of Elijah's coworkers.  For about a week the Bible went EVERYWHERE that he went.  He would walk around the house singing "How Great is Our God" with the Bible tucked under his arms.  You just gotta love a kid who carries a Bible and sings praise songs :-)

We spent some of our spring break in Louisiana. While there we visited the zoo, library and the museum.
Karmin is so over taking pics
