A Wonderful Weekend Off

I tend to work a lot of weekends in the summer, so I really cherish my family time on my weekends off. 

Friday was the last day of VBS.  Thanks Mrs. Sherry and Mrs. Jennifer for inviting us to the One.  The kids had a ONEDERFUL time fellowshipping with their friends/family and learning about GOD.

On Saturday morning we surprised our friend Jennifer by showing up at her CrossFit competition.  She rocked it!!! All her hard work and dedication is paying off.

Our city's 4th of July celebration was this weekend in the park behind our house.   Instead of fighting the crowds we listened to the Michael McDonald concert and watched the fireworks from our front yard with the Collier family.  As you can see, a good time was had by all.

Father's Day 2015

Elijah's Special Day

Today we celebrated Father's Day since I work all weekend.  We surprised Elijah by picking him up from work and taking him to his favorite restaurant for lunch.  After work he was greeted by the kids with a box of his favorite things, homemade letters and cards, a cake (made by Alyssa and Daniel) and decorations. Elijah is truly an Amazing  father and we wanted to honor him on this day!!!

Both kids finished their Awana  books this year.  Alyssa struggled towards the end, but she finished strong.  Daniel completed his book and his extra credit book.  We are so proud of both of them.
